The first 26km went really well but then dehydration cramps set in pretty badly and he had to walk in the cold (-5 without the strong winds) for the last 4 km. All in all it took 3 hours 45 minutes which was about 45 minutes over his goal time. I'm still Really proud of him for not pushing himself beyond his body's limits. There was one guy who was so dehydrated that he completely collapsed and started vomiting and the whole bit right in front of me. The medics were there within 5 minutes but the poor guy was so embarrased and so ticked off that he couldn't make it the last 250m. SO glad Lenny didn't let his dehydration get to this point. Anyhoo, on with the pictures!
This last picture was from a new yarn store in Hamilton that was supposedly having their grand opening this weekend. Not only did they have a handmade sign on the door saying they would not be open Sunday afterall, they didn't even really have a store sign, have one sketched-out website, and was in a quasi-sketchy area of town. Won't be visiting there anytime soon again...
Other small item of good news: I was able to get rid of about 6 hours of work shifts for tonight so I'll have a lot more time to start/finish papers. Yay for relieving some stress!
Alright, off to workee!
