Favourite Photos of Solto Collina

So Italy was Awesome. Lenny and I both enjoyed nearly Everything we encountered on our 21-day journey. Over 1500 photos were taken, so a few "favourite photos" post are really necessary to narrow some things down. In reverse order of how they occurred, here are some of my favourites (if you click on them, I think they'll open in a new tab a little bit bigger).

Lenny with his uncle Gigi (GianLuigi) at a restaurant on our first night in Solto Collina. I like their smiles here ;)
Lenny's dad's family: L-R: Uncle Ricardo, Nonna Dina, Nonno Luigi, Aunt Maria Rosa, Ungle Gigi, Aunt Lucia and cousin Luca.

Isn't this place Beautiful?!
Lenny's cousin getting a big kiss from his mama!

At the base of the mountain right on Lago d'Iseo.
Lenny with his Aunt and Uncle

Nona's delicious, delicious breakfast apple torte.
Local cheeses, fruit, and bread at a dinner time meal.
Gigantic gelato night with Zia MariaRosa and Zio Gigi.
Lenny with his Nona and Mariella (Lenny's grandpa's brother's daughter). There are so many Guizzetti's in Solto Collino and they're all distantly related it seems.
The wood oven that Nona cooks in on a daily basis. The wood goes in the left and the pans of food go in on the right.
A Beautiful home on the lake.

Francesco (MariaRosa's husband), Maria Rosa, Nono, Nona, Riccardo, Lenny.

A proud grandma's photo wall. The top left pic is one of Lenny's dad for those of you that haven't seen a picture of him before.

An 1830s painting in the front hall entrance of the home. It used to be a monestary back in the day (1500s).

A pic of their front yard (i.e. the front door is at my back here).

A little more of the front yard. Behind the purple flowers was where they kept a lot of the animals until a few years ago.

The parking area near the house. The alley way is too narrow for most cars so everyone parks out here and then walks to their homes.
A pasticceria in Bergamo that one of Lenny's distant relatives used to own. I think it was one of Nono's brothers, but I don't remember.
I cannot WAIT to go back. Everyone was just Wonderful and the food and sights were quite beautiful as well. More to come later!
