Ouchy

Wowsers my tendinitis has been acting up recently. I'm not sure if it's the weather, the oodles of mouse clicking I've been doing at work, or a combination of the two. In either case, I've been having lots of cuddles with Sally instead of surfing the net or continuing my knitting project.

Work has been pretty quiet thanks to Reading Week. It's been really nice to have a break in the stress level but it'll also be nice to have more to do once all the students get back.

Sally's been doing really well. Lenny gave her a bath last night after a very muddy run and now she smells so pretty :) Much less like dog :P. She's been really cuddly the last few days which has been pretty nice too.

Well that's it for excitement for now.

My first button hole!

So my desire for knitting has been being beat out by the tendinitis in my wrists acting up and the discouragement from having to rip out many-a-rows in my current project. Today however I was able to continue working for about 30 minutes on my sweater project and made my first ever button holes! How exciting! They actually weren't too hard at all.

I'm a little too lazy to get the camera out and take a picture, but here's a pic from the pattern of said button holes:

I'm also doing the pattern in a light green. You might recall this from my posts entitle March Fails (ha!) and The Last Day of March.

Now on to good TV night: How I Met Your Mother, 2 Broke Girls, Two and a Half Men, Mike & Molly, and Hawaii Five-o. Oh and, with any luck, I hope I will do something else productive in the mean time...

I have spent many a hours checking out their cool stuff in recent days. I wish I could come up with some great ideas for something to sell on there because I think it would be one of the most fun jobs I can currently think of. 

Thank goodness I don't have midterms to be studying for! Nothing like not having much to feel guilty about avoiding :) There are some perks to being in the working world during Reading Week.

Valentine-y Celebrations

 This weekend was great, filled with delicious food, a trip to the market for a gourmet cupcake treat, and some Beautiful daisies from my honey! I loooooooove having fresh flowers in the house, and thankfully Lenny loves keeping me happy :)  Sorry for the dark pictures; I took them at night...

We had three friends over on Saturday night for a games night, featuring Settlers of Catan, and it was lovely to have some fresh flowers to spice up the house a bit. 

On Sunday, Lenny accompanied me to my first ever coupon swap and we ended up with a lot of goodies including plenty of $1-off egg coupons, free Old Spice product coupons, and free Dove body wash coupons, amongst others. 

Tonight I tried to improve on my lack luster attempt at a curry dinner by baking some cupcakes for dessert (and Lenny's potluck tomorrow). I think they turned out really well. Thanks to my mom for supplying some Wilton Valentine's Day cupcake decorations.

I think I will bring in 10 or so to the office tomorrow. I suspect they won't be too big of a hit as everyone eats super healthy and is on a diet, but I'm sure some lucky students won't mind an offer.

Sadly our beloved Tassimo coffee maker is being recalled. We've actually had two or three of the discs explode boiling water on us now, so ya know, it's for the best. The replacement part should be here within 7-10 business days.

Spring-time!

Today it felt a lot like Spring! Beautiful, beautiful Spring!
